Julian Glasgow Associates specialises in all aspects of office accommodation in Central London with a particular emphasis on the West End, offering an in-depth local knowledge of the area. Mayfair and St James's are two key locations we specialise in.
MAYFAIR
Synonymous with luxury and elegant period buildings, Mayfair is one of the most highly sought-after commercial and residential addresses in central London.
The area is defined as the square formed by Park Lane, Oxford Street, Regent’s Street and Piccadilly and was first established between the mid 17th and 18th centuries as a fashionable residential district for the upper middle classes.
Office space is available in these converted period residences as well as purpose-built modern accommodation, with the most desirable locations surrounding the principle squares of Berkeley, Grosvenor and Hanover. Mayfair attracts a wide range of commercial tenants, including private banks, hedge funds and wealth managers so the area attracts serious capital.
Mayfair is home to exclusive jewellers, bespoke tailors and designer fashion retailers, plus world-class restaurants and flagship hotels such as Claridges and The Connaught. It is well connected to the rest of London by six underground stations in the vicinity.
St James’s
Its proximity to Royal houses and traditional feel makes St James’s a very prestigious and discreet business location.
Home to several global headquarters, this area is bounded to the north by Piccadilly, to the west by Green Park, to the south by The Mall and to the east by Haymarket. It was first developed by Henry Jermyn during the reign of King Charles II as an exclusive residential area for aristocrats but today the grand properties are predominantly converted to a high standard for commercial use. Amid the historic buildings, there’s also a good selection of modern commercial offices.
London’s rich history is evident here – in many of capital’s established gentlemen’s clubs and traditional businesses such as fine wine and cigar merchants. The auction house, Christies, is located in this area as are many other art and antiques dealers.
There is plentiful open space nearby, with St James’s Park to the south and Green Park to the east, and good transport links via nearby Victoria station.
